Self-care Saturdays at Energy of Serenity with Reiki Master, Donna McDine ~ Self-Care with Walks
Welcome to today’s edition of Self-Care Saturday’s at Energy of Serenity.
Here we are already on March 21st and the daffodils in my front yard garden have bloomed, acknowledging the warmer weather is rapidly approaching. We have had a mild winter in the Hudson Valley of New York state and while I missed having one big snowstorm to give me the reason to stay put and not feel guilty with being busy with one thing or another. Well anyhow, the coronavirus has us staying put. I welcome the warmer weather with open arms.
One of my favorite self-care routines is my daily walk at the Piermont Pier. What glorious memories of bringing our daughters to the Piermont Pier on their bikes, feeding the ducks and enjoying the view of the Hudson River. The ripple of the water has always and continues to have a calming effect on my mental psyche.
One of the best ways to treat yourself to free self-care is a pleasant walk in your neighborhood and to watch the reawakening of all that blooms during the next several months.
Take the time out to reawaken your soul with time spent in nature. Your mind, body and soul will thank you with new found energy and clarity.
Enjoy your time of slowing down and taking a nice long walk!
